Locating Beauty/Skin Deep at Buchanan Gallery, Galveston

Thanks to Kathi Buchanan for giving us such a lovely show. Below are some photos from the exhibition. We had a good crowd though my pictures don't show it. They were taken early when we first arrived around 5:30. The evening was cool and balmy with no rain! Great weather for art walk.

L to R: Kathi Buchanan, me and Deanna Wood, looking towards back of gallery. My paintings on the walls.

Front wall, Le Grande Rouge, my painting. To right, Deanna's painting. Both can be seen from the street.

Looking towards back my paintings facing wall and left, Deanna's on right. One Thousand Whispers on facing wall.

Mark, my husband talking with Deanna. Her paintings behind Mark. Must be Sam sitting in the window.

Back wall with Under My Skin series and Body Language I and II.

This exhibition is up through May 22nd.

  1. This looks like a great show, Gwen. Congratulations! I wish I could have seen it in person. I know your work has fabulous depth and texture that is not visible in these photos. I hope to see some "real" work at the conference.

  2. Thanks, Nancy. I have some better shots of the work on my website. I have to learn how to take better installation pictures.
